Lot's of fun for little money. Great value!. This is a great little game, easy to pick up and hard to put down. Just enough good writing to be interesting, enough humor to provide a laugh here and there without overdoing it. Good set of progressive upgrades that keep you focused on improving. Pretty much everything that is good about small indie games... my only regret is that it isn't finished yet. :). Great game, really fun, already love it, but I did run into a small problem. I made it very far and almost made $1000000, had a full roster of troops (10 level 4 security and 2 level 5, 2 level 4 and one level 5 had special abilities), ran into a monster on the road, put in my best troops for a security level of 18, was about to click start battle, than a fatal error popped up and shut my game down. Actually got me to laugh for a while. I'm looking forward to the development of this game and what gets implemented.. With this update you people screwed up my game. The missions all have some weird title that doesn't make sense because they are numbers. The market list now has a green speech bubble beside most of the items. The cost of grain is 1000 instead of 10. A lot my upgrades to my wagon and horses are gone. My horsepower and speed are back down to the lowest setting. When I click on the Caravan tab the horses are invisible but cast a shadow. There is no way in hell I'm replaying this game nor am I continuing it with this crap. Don't buy this game people, not worth it.. Fun game about being a traveling merchant. Roadmap to This Merchant Life release: Well met, Merchant fans! I wanted to run through how things stand with the game, and the plans to take it through to leaving early access and into full release.The current aim is to release the game late winter/early spring 2019. The cart parts update in version 0.6 was the last major new mechanic I wanted to get into the game before then, although there will certainly be additional, more minor mechanics added in future. The key areas of focus from here are going to be: Story mode More content (specifically more events) Combat system improvements Full tutorial and ingame hints Minor systems additions and tweaks General polish & UI improvements Balancing Bug fixingStory mode will be one of three modes available, along with Sandbox (the current mode) and Payback (an update of the previous game mode where you had to meet increasing payments each month).Many of the new road events will only take place in specific regions of the map, to add more variety as you travel in different parts of the kingdom.
